Wilhelms

Built around 1905 in the style of reform architecture, the residential building is located at Zimmerstraße 14, 14a in the historic Wilhelmstadt district of Spandau. Unlike the richly decorated facades of 19th century Wilhelminian style architecture, the property is characterized by clear, modern forms. The façade features wide balconies that extend across the first to third floors. The mullioned windows in different sizes and shapes as well as the offset double pointed gables on the sides of the façade give the building its characteristic charm.

As you enter the building, you are greeted by a nostalgic, homely ambience in a green and red color palette that forms a harmonious contrast to the plain grey of the façade. Two separate entrances lead to the 16 apartments, which are spread from the first floor to the third floor. The charm of the old building is reflected in the curved, ornate door frames of the apartment doors, the painted mullioned windows and the turned stair railings.

The quiet inner courtyard is enclosed by the front building and two side wings in a U-shape and offers a pleasant oasis of calm.
