The building’s 30 residential units are spread over five floors. From the front façade facing the street, the main entrance leads to a stairwell with elevator, which provides access to 26 apartments. The remaining seven apartments are accessible via the courtyard.

Inspired by the original building plans from the turn of the century, the façade shines in new splendor, citing the original formal elements of late Art Nouveau. The stucco and chamfers form a harmonious contrast to the polychrome vertical stripes. Contrasting colors can be found on the undersides of the balconies and in the entrance area.

Helmstedter Straße 30 is not far away. There are bakeries, small cafés, restaurants and all kinds of shops for daily needs in the immediate vicinity. The trendy Prager Platz is also less than a five-minute walk away. In the 1920s, this was one of the intellectual centers of West Berlin. Albert Einstein, Erich Kästner, Maxim Gorky and Vladimir Nabokov all lived here. Today, a granite sculpture in honor of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke inspires residents and passers-by, who have ample opportunity to ponder, relax and enjoy life on the benches around the well-tended green space, which is colorfully planted with flowers and in the middle of which rises the fountain of an imposing fountain. The excellent transport links via the Güntzelstrasse subway station make the immediate proximity of Helmstedter Strasse 30 to the fashionable center of Berlin obvious: two stops, exit Kurfürstendamm.
